St. Michael's Community Outreach Projects Committee
A major outreach project at St. Michael's is the St. Michael's Wig Exchange, a ministry to people and families facing serious illness. We also have an active Outreach Committee that provides an ongoing service to residents in the Northeast San Fernando Valley. The Committee hosts an annual rummage sale with proceeds going to support our various outreach ministries. Through our outreach efforts we provide physical and emotional support to a number of programs. The Outreach Committee offers something for anyone who has a desire to get involved. We collaborate with other committees on larger far-reaching projects. Some of our activities include:

North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry
St. Michael's is one of the five founding churches and synagogues that established the Interfaith Food Pantry which has expanded to now include eleven supporting faith communities. The Pantry distributes over 1,200 bags of food monthly with distribution taking place Mondays and Fridays. These donations feed approximately 3,900 people monthly. St. Michael's contributes office space to the Pantry so that it can operate a Help Line. Collecting food donations is an ongoing effort throughout the year with large drives during the Lenten season and at Thanksgiving.
