The Rev. Dr. Daniel Justin - Rector

The Rev. Dr. Daniel Justin

In 2012, Father Dan was called to St. Michael and All Angels from the Diocese of Chicago, where he had served as the Assistant Rector at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Park Ridge, Illinois. He earned a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Preaching from Luther Seminary, a Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in Communications from Lindenwood University, and a Bachelor of Science from Missouri Baptist University. Father Dan was sponsored for ordination by All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Beverly Hills and was ordained as a priest in December of 2009 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Park Ridge, Illinois. Prior to his ordination, Father Dan spent fourteen years working in higher education administration, including positions as Director of Admissions at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and Cleveland Chiropractic College of Los Angeles. He is originally from Missouri and grew up in the St. Louis area.


The Rev. Stefanie Wilson Brown - Priest Associate

The Rev. Stefanie Wilson Brown

The Rev. Stefanie Wilson Brown is a graduate of the General Theological Seminary in New York.  Stefanie is the full-time high school chaplain at Campbell Hall.  She serves at St. Michael and All Angels as affiliated clergy.  Her liturgical roles include occasional preaching, presiding at the Eucharist, and assisting with distribution of communion on Sundays.  In addition to her liturgical roles, Stefanie leads the parish youth group. While in seminary Stefanie worked to prepare worship services in the seminary chapel.  In addition, she also served as chaplain to the New York Fire Department.  Prior to her ordination Stefanie taught fourth and fifth grade in Chicago for two years with the Inner City Teaching Corps.  She received her Bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. She is married to the Rev. Greg Brown, who is also a priest in the Diocese of Los Angeles.


Duane Steadman - Parish Administrator and Organist

Duane Steadman

Duane Steadman has served as St. Michael and All Angels Parish Administrator since 2005. For the previous ten years he worked in the finance department of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles located at the Cathedral Center of St. Paul in Echo Park, California. In addition to his work as Parish Administrator, Duane also serves as Organist for St. Michael and All Angels. He holds two degrees in organ performance from Colorado State University. A native of Colorado, he was confirmed in the Episcopal Church in 1976.


David Connors - Director of Music

David Connors

David is a Professor of Music at California State University, Los Angeles.  He has a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance, a Master of Music, and a Doctor of Music Education.  Prior to moving to Los Angeles, he taught elementary general music and choir in Minneapolis and New York City.  In Los Angeles he has sung with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, was a soloist with the Los Angeles Bach Festival, and now sings with the Independent Opera and Center Stage Opera companies.  He is a member of St. Michael and All Angels and has been singing with the choir since 2006.

Amber Russo - Children's Pastor

Amber Russo

Amber has been attending St. Michael and All Angels Parish since moving to Los Angeles in 2003.  She began serving as our Children’s Pastor in 2015.  In addition to her ministry at St. Michael’s, she also teaches piano, studies photography, and can be seen acting in several films and plays.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Theater, and Music from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT.   She was raised Episcopalian attending church in the Diocese of Utah. She was confirmed in 1995. While living in Utah she served on the Diocesan Youth Coordinating Team.
